Having retired in November 2018 from my newspaper career -- 37 years full-time; four more before that as a freelancer -- I now offer this blog as a receptacle for occasional thoughts, not necessarily about the subjects I once covered daily (classical music, theater, plus restaurants during the final, horrible year).
As you can imagine (and any pope will tell you), it’s hard to abandon pontificating cold turkey, so I am counting on this outlet to help keep my skill-set from rusting completely.
