Having retired in November 2018 from my 37-year full-time career at the Baltimore Sun, plus an additional four years as a freelancer, I now present this arts critic blog as a space for my occasional thoughts. These reflections may not always relate to the classical music thoughts or theater and restaurant reviews I once covered daily, especially during that last, difficult year.
As you can imagine (and any pope will tell you), it’s hard to abandon pontificating cold turkey, so I hope this outlet keeps my skills sharp and prevents them from rusting completely.
